Memory Catcher is a boutique production company, dedicated to preserving personal, family and corporate histories through unique and high quality video biographies. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, we will travel anywhere in the world to complete our projects.

Memory Catcher has over 12 years involvement in the professional film and television industry, and is committed to bringing our expertise, quality craftsmanship and exceptional service to every project. We are honoured to help preserve, share and celebrate your life story.

Nicole Beart is the founder of Memory Catcher Inc. With a background in the film industry, and an ever-present interest in people and their stories, Nicole convinced her Grandmother to sit down one day, with the camera running, and tell her about her life. Her Grandmother passed away a short time later, and it was when Nicole showed the video of her Grandmother at her celebration of life that the seeds of Memory Catcher were planted. Moved by both the priceless gift her Grandmother gave them in recording her story, as well as the emotional impact it had on her family, Nicole founded Memory Catcher to help other families honour the lives of their loved ones.

Since Memory Catcher’s inception in 2010, Nicole has helped numerous people capture their life stories, and family and corporate histories. She also enjoys working with clients to create special tribute keepsakes for birthdays, retirement celebrations, weddings and anniversaries.

A graduate of the University of Alberta, Nicole is a member of the Association of Personal Historians, an international organization committed to preserving individuals’ life stories for future generations.

With a passion for community and an understanding that legacy extends beyond simply the monetary, Nicole is actively involved in Edmonton through her volunteer work with Oliver Centre Head Start, Make A Wish Northern Alberta, Intervivos, Wellspring Edmonton, and the launch of a Make Something Edmonton project called The Tale Treasury.

Nicole presents regularly on a variety of topics related to personal history and legacy planning, in addition to offering digital storytelling workshops for organizations. If you are interested in a presentation, workshop or interview, please contact us at info@memorycatcher.ca

It was fantastic!  We were challenged, and inspired to think clearly about the stories we want to tell, and we were also shown how to present these stories in a professional manner.  Thank you for an engaging and effective workshop!
